It’s that time again! TeleBrands will be holding Inventors Day (in conjunction with the South Florida Inventors Council)  on Friday, February 10, 2012 in Miami, Florida, the day before NATIONAL INVENTOR’S DAY.  There are a few openings left for inventors and we are accepting applications for both short-form and long-form consumer products.

Inventors should focus on consumer products that reach a mass audience with widespread appeal and have that unique “WOW” demonstration!

Here’s a few tips from our website to help answer some of the common questions we are often asked about the inventors process at TeleBrands…

If you are not interested in my product, will I know why?
There are many reasons why Telebrands may pass on a product. We have a very specific business model, so even if a product is clearly going to sell, or already has a sales record, it might not make sense for our company. The last thing we want to do is take over a product and have it fail. Beyond that, we can’t provide more specific reasons for a rejection.

Can I visit the Telebrands office in person and present my idea?
If you want to be considered, please complete this online form first. We will arrange an office visit only if we are interested in your product.

If you like my product, what kind of compensation do you offer?
It depends on the product, each situation is unique.

Can inventors trust Telebrands?
We are a Certified Professional Member of the United Inventors Associaiton (UIA), the national non-proft dedicated to inventor education and support. The UIA only awards Certification to firms who agree to comply with rigorous professional and ethical standards.

“You don’t believe it, huh Tommy?” AJ asked as I shook my head at this one. “Okay, tell what I’m going to do… here take it.”

“You want me to take one of the frying pans?” I said with a wide-eyed look.

“Yep,” said AJ, “Take it home… cook on it… have your wife cook on it… cook everything you can possibly think of then let me know what you think. If this isn’t the most amazing cookware you ever used, then dinner is on me for a month! “

Ahhhhhh, a challenge… and one that involves food, to boot! So I took The Infomercial King’s pan home and put it through the ringer. I’m not kidding, for one full week I cooked everything imaginable on this green hunk of cookware – and I used absolutely NO butter, oil, or spray. I did fried eggs, burgers, steaks, chops, bacon, grilled cheese, salmon, french toast, pancakes…yeah just like AJ told me too, and guess what? Well besides the fact that I put on ten pounds, he was right, this really is the most amazing cookware I’ve ever used. I made omlettes so fluffy and perfect that I sent my phone pics to the Food Network (they said they’ll get back to me.) I was blown away by how easy it is to not only cook with this groovy green stuff, but cleaning is ridiculous as food NEVER sticks to it and any mess from breakfast, lunch, or dinner just slides right off. You will never have to use fattening oils or butter to prevent your food from sticking because Orgreenic does it all by itself!

So I reported back to AJ, and quite annoyed that dinner for a month was not to be mine. I could not lie, this cookware is beyond amazing. So what’s the secret? The first time I saw this product, I walked into AJ Khubani’s office and said, “Are you crazy, man?” Of course the Infomercial King looked at me like I had two heads and wanted to know why I was all in a huff.

“AJ… Robo Stir… come on… really?”

“What’s wrong with it?” AJ wanted to know.

“Have we gotten THAT lazy as a society that we can’t even stir our own food?” I demanded to know? Hey I’ve got some principles… somewhere, I think.

“Tommy, let me show you how this works and how great of a product it really is,” Mr. K. said with a smile.

So he set up a make-shift stove top on his desk, pretending several books were pots and pans. “So, you’re cooking sauce here, and a pasta dish over here, you’ve got something baking in the oven and the phone rings…it’s your mom who you know is going to talk your ears off. So you pop in a couple of Robo Stirs, yak with mom, check in your oven to see if the baked goods are done, and dinner is coming along quite nicely, thank you.”

“Holy mackerel!”, I shouted out with sincere joyful enthusiasm, “Robo Stir really does work… what a great product!”

“Of course it’s a great product, Tommy, I wouldn’t sell it if it wasn’t!” the boss man assured me.

And I’m not kidding here because Robo Stir really is like having several extra sets of hands in the kitchen when you need them most. So many of the amazing products that the great AJ Kubani brings to market are wonderful new ideas that solve people’s everyday problems. But I think my Infomercial King buddy stepped into a time vault and came up with this 21st century version of the old Ronco gizmos that sliced and diced with ease! So now we introduce the Slice O Matic, a modern day kitchen whiz that really does slice and dice with such precision and ease that you’ll wonder how you ever worked in your kitchen without one before!

I love to cook and while I don’t mind all of the prepping, slicing up a ton of veggies is no doubt a time consuming pain in the rump roast! “I’m absolutely amazed at how people keep showing us something completely new and different,” said AJ, “Just when I swear I’ve seen it all, a new product I had never even dreamed of is presented to us and it always brings a smile on my face!”

Local resident, Bob Woolf, came in to see us with a great idea, all born out of necessity.

“When my mother fell and broke her hip reaching for a cup in the kitchen cubbard, that’s when it was evident to me I needed to do something of this nature. I actually made it for her so she could use it in her own house.”

Bob wasn’t looking for an idea to sell, he was simply creating something he saw a great need for, and when it worked, he contacted TeleBrands!

At this particular Inventors Day, several of the top ideas were chosen by AJ and our esteemed panel to be tested in a few larger cities to see the public’s reaction.
